WOOOT! The time has arrived guys....

Just a few updates about tmrw:

Normal Business hours are from 10.00am till 3pm. Anyone wish to buy our line of products pls come within that time.

We will close our doors at 3.00pm to setup for the sneaker preview exhibition and sound check by our guest DJ Hans DC.

At 6.00pm our door will reopen to:
1) Preview of Sneakers
2) Launch of Sneaker Freaker #10
3) Sale of Opening tees
4) Light food and beverages will be served
5) Door gifts will be given out

Due to the strict regulations by the Mid Valley Garden Management:
1) Pls do not consume alcohol out of the premise
2) If under 18 please do not consume alcohol
3) Pls do not crowd around the area as they do not want the walkway to be clogged
4) Pls be patient with us as we will try our utter best to satisfy all yr requests.
5) Lucky draw will be conducted by witnesses and posted on Solewhat.com and also streething.com; so u may collect the free kicks at your convenience.

Sorry, it's a pain i know, but what to do, we are in a shopping mall and thus have to abide by their rules & regulations.

DONATION PROJECT

Our friends have come up with a plan. It's a project of collaboration between 9 different street brands in Thailand.

The 9 brands are: Sneaka Villa, Multi Technic, 3% Clothings, Beeday Stay in Touch, Lawyer Flip, Siam Edition, Zig Zag, Maybe Wear, and Humankind Factor (HKF).

This project is a donation part 2. All proceeds will go to Phrabatnampu Temple or Aids Temple. The temple is helping patients who are affected by Aids and dumped by their family. The temple need to spend 4 million Baht / month for medicine, funeral / etc. However, the Thai government give them only 100,000 Baht / month. We should help them out now, shouldn't we?

Be@rbrick X Nike Windrunner 400%

Geoff Hollister's iconic windrunner has taken a new twist with a special collaboration with toymakers Medicom; in the form of the Be@rbrick 400%. This special Be@rbrick is actually the basis for a special "Windrunner Campaign" that is currently being implemented over here in Asia. Keep an eye out for the campaign. For further updates do hit up Nike.


Streething has been appointed to collaborate with Nike Malaysia on this project. Sole What? is also working with Nike on this project on another different direction.

AJ3 customization by Skinner

After the successful implementation of the Darth Vader project which he specially commissioned for Sole What? on his own accord, our good friend n brother in arms, Skinner has embarked on another project especially for us. This time the palette is the AJ3 "Pure Money"; which is looking to be set in a striking colorway combo from the progression pic which he posted on Streething.

He is truly setting the scene on fire nowadays and I'm sure this project will turn out to be another WILD-FIRE!!

Shuttlemax by Bill McMullen

In 1999 SWISHNYC had a bestselling t-shirt: the "ShuttleMax" by Bill McMullen, a co-owner and the main designer of the store. As in so much of his art, McMullen had combined two aspects of popular culture for this: the space shuttle and his favorite running shoe.

Seven years later, the newest version of the ShuttleMax is being released. This time it's a limited edition vinyl 3D toy from Kidrobot, which comes in three different colors: lime, red and yellow. Basically, it looks as if the people at NASA were sneaker freaks and turned the space shuttle into a fine running shoe. Note the attention to detail, the bottom has a really great thread design.

Porsche and their internal design team are creating this new limited edition Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1. This super stealthy, all black sports car is also decked out with all black interior: upholstery, dashboard, and even a three spoke steering wheel. As an added bonus to buying the car, you also get a special briefcase stocked with a Flat Six Chronograph, a pocket knife, sunglasses, pen, and a key that all come in the color, yup, you guessed it, black. Only 777 of these models are being manufactured and will be made available in January 2008.

Hari Raya Puasa

Muslims celebrate the festival of Aidilfitri – popularly known as Hari Raya Puasa, or simply Hari Raya (Day of Celebration) in Malaysia – to mark the culmination of Ramadhan, the holy month of fasting.

It is a joyous occasion for Muslims, as it signifies a personal triumph, a victory of self-restraint and abstinence, symbolising purification and renewal.

Fasting (Puasa)

Fasting during the month of Ramadhan is compulsory or wajib, whereby Muslims are required to abstain from satisfying their most basic needs and urges, daily, between sunrise and sunset. It is one of the five tenets of Islam; as is the paying of zakat (alms tax for the poor), which must be tithed by the end of Ramadhan.

In Malaysia, the period of fasting ends when the new moon is sighted on the evening of the last day of Ramadhan. The actual sighting is conducted by state appointed religious officials at various vantage points (usually at hilltops) throughout the country.

If the crescent is sighted, the following day is then declared the first day of Aidilfitri, which is also the beginning of the 10th month of the Muslim calendar Syawal.

To all our muslim brothers, have a happy fasting month and we shall celebrate the Hari Raya Aidilfitri together irrespective of our difference in race, religious belief and culture.
