Adidas Y3 x Hacienda
Factory Records was a manchester based, independent record label formed in 1978. The seminal label’s most prominent acts were Joy Division, New Order and the Happy Mondays, whose music was powerful enough to define an entire English generation. In 1982, Factory Records created a project called FAC51, codename for a Manchester club called the Hacienda. The club became legendary within the Manc scene, drawing huge crowds every week as the summers of love blossomed in the north.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Hacienda, Peter Saville and Ben Kelly (the club’s interior designer) have created a shoe known as FAC51-Y3, with the assistance of Peter Hook (the bass player from Joy Division/New Order).
Only 250 pairs are being made n will be available in Y-3 London, Tokyo and other select retailers around the world.
